We tried Hot Spot on Nemo’s nose and within a couple of days his skin had cleared completely. This was an amazing response as prior to the Hot Spot treatment, Nemo’s nose had very large scabs and lesions. Nothing we had tried previously healed the skin completely. My wife, Jennifer, works for a veterinary clinic and not even the accepted medical treatments were helping.
After using Hot Spot to get the lupus symptoms under control, Jennifer started using a Hot Spot Chapstick and Hot Spot Cream as maintenance. The chapstick is much harder for the other dogs and Nemo to lick off and is much less expensive as well.
If you have a dog with canine discoid lupus, Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (DLE), treat it with Freckled Paws Hot Spot and maintain healthy skin with a weekly application of Hot Spot Chapstick or Hot Spot Cream. You will be amazed at the result and your furkid will love you for it!
Freckled Paws Hot Spot Natural Herbal Contents
Freckled Paws Hot Spot is a proprietary blend of all natural oils with known healing properties. We found, through trial and error, Nemo would get some benefit from each of the ingredients. It wasn’t until we blended some of the oils we had tried that we were able to achieve complete, 100% healing of his skin lesions caused by his canine discoid lupus, Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (DLE). Naturally, we have higher concentrations of the oils that gave the most benefit when used alone. Hot Spot Oil contains emu oil, organic virgin, unrefined coconut oil, olive oil, rosemary extract oil, calendula oil, camellia oil and evening prim rose oil.
Hot Spot Ingredients are:
- All natural
- Not toxic to dogs!!!
- Free of artificial colorings
- Free of artificial preservatives
- Free of artificial fragrances
- Steroid free
- Gluten free
- Made with human food grade ingredients
Additional Hot Spot Effects
Hot Spot nourishes the brain. The EFAs are building blocks which the brain needs to function properly. Hot Spot contains the smallest of the oil molecules, penetrating and absorbing readily into the skin and joints. Hot Spot contains high levels of linolenic acid, a substance known to ease joint pain, and oleic acid, which has a anti-inflammatory effect. Hot Spot contains the Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs), Omega-3 (linolenic) and Omega-6 (linoleic) fatty acids which the body cannot manufacture. They must be included in diet or supplements.
Hot Spot Oil contains coconut oil and has an SPF of 2-4. Exposure to the sun is known to exacerbate the symptoms of Canine Discoid Lupus, DLE. The natural sunscreen in Hot Spot helps mitigate the effects of the sun. Hot Spot Chap Stick and Hot Spot Cream have an SPF of 6-9 due to the addition of Shea Butter (another natural sunscreen). Once you have the skin lesions healed, make sure and apply some Hot Spot before exposing your furkid to sunlight for any extended period.
“Love this product! My German Shepherd mix began to have depigmentation on the side of her nose and the vet prescribed an anti-fungal ointment which we applied for 1 week. She actually had Canine Discoid Lupus.
I found your site and ordered your Hot Spot treatment. We began applying it 3-4 times daily for 1 week, after which time her nose turned completely black. We continued to apply it consistently for the next 3 to 4 days and now have backed off to 1 time daily. Your email suggested we should now only have to apply 1 or 2 times weekly which is what we will begin doing. Thank you so much and you may use my email as a testimonial if you like.”
